The Staff Selection Commission is expected to declare SSC CHSL Result 2018 (Tier-I) in May 2018. SSC CHSL Examination Notification has published in the month of November 2017. The process of submitting an application form for the same has completed in the month of December and the examination for CHSL has organized in the month of March 2018.

SSC CHSL  selection process 2018

SSC selection process exam dates are given below.you need to understand very carefully.Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) conducted Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam for the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO).

  •  Computer Based Examination (Tier-I)-(Objective Type)
  • Descriptive Paper (Tier-II)
  • Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III)

1. Computer Based Examination (Tier-I): Computer Based Exam (Tier-I) exam is an objective type test divided into four sections,

  • General Intelligence,
  • English Language (Basic Knowledge)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill)
  • General Awareness

SSC CHSL 2018 Tier-I exam for total marks is 200 and negative marking of 0.50 marks for every wrong answer.Special note:-Those candidates cleared the tier I exam that will be selected for tier II exam.

2. Tier-II (Descriptive Paper): Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks and Paper Mode in the duration of the paper only in one hour. The Paper of Essay writing is200-250 words and Letter/ Application of approximately 150-200 words. The tier-ii minimum percentage for passing marks would be (33 percent).

3. Tier III (Typing Test/ Skill Test):

i. Skill Test for Data Entry Operator those candidates who are qualified in the Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) and Descriptive Paper (Tier-II)  will be eligible to take the Skill Test.

First, the candidate needs to qualify the written test by getting the minimum qualifying marks fixed in each component of the written examination as per fixed by the commission.

The candidate just needs to qualify the “data entry speed test’ of 8000 words per hour according to the speed prescribed on the computer by the Commission.

After qualifying the speed skill test the candidates will be recommended for the appointment.

Typing Test for LDC/  JSA & PA/ SA: Typing Test in English or Hindi will be conducted for those candidates who qualify in the Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) and Descriptive Paper (Tier-II). After this, the final merit list will be made on the basis of the score obtained in Tier I and Tier II exam and posts will be allocated accordingly for (P.A.)Postal Assistant/ (S.A.)Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators, (L.D.C.)Lower Divisional Clerks and Court Clerks on the basis of their merit and preference of post.
